A city charms us from across the water
A photographer snaps this beautiful view of Acre, Israel from a new ferry crossing.
This gorgeous photo of Acre, Israel was taken from the Haifa-Acre ferry in northern Israel, a new system of transportation that started sailing passengers between the two Mediterranean cities in October. It runs twice a day on weekdays and three times on Saturdays.
The project had been postponed for decades, but it's finally a reality.
"Many people said 'you won’t succeed, it’s impossible, many people tried for 20 years,'" explained Yariv Levin, who organized the ferry. "But when you work hard, and when there is good will from all the partners, you can do a lot of things, and I think that the outcome today is something brilliant."
