The art of battling breast cancer
Advocates around the world get creative to raise awareness.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and from cancer walks to donning pink ribbons, people around the world have made myriad gestures in acknowledgment of the battle being waged against the disease that has impacted so many families.
Some have gotten more creative than others. Take for example the city of Tel Aviv, Israel, where a hot pink bra was placed on a fifty-foot steel statue (pictured above) outside of the city's main theater.
In Chicago, Illinois, a bra sculpture measuring 16 feet tall and weighing 1500 pounds was put on display in the middle of one of the city's main plazas. And in Grand Forks, North Dakota, a 14-foot tall sculpture of a pink polka dot bra was put on display outside of a local flower nursery.
