Balcony of the dolls
Stunning Bauhaus architecture, and some whimsical playthings, adorn this Tel Aviv building.
A centerpiece of Tel Aviv's Neve Tzedek neighborhood is its uniquely designed buildings, in the style of both the Art Nouveau and Bauhaus art movements. After decades in obscurity, the neighborhood has recently undergone a renaissance of sorts, as a fashionable and art-driven quarter. Its main streets are lined with artisans' studios alongside trendy cafés and bars, boutique hotels and shops selling handmade goods.
In this photo, a Neve Tzedek homeowner with an apparent penchant for playthings decided his doll collection should double as balcony decor. Surely, it's much appreciated by neighbors and passing pedestrians.
