Welcome to the Olympics of indoor wall climbing
Contestants from across the globe compete in Paris.
Hundreds of athletes from around the world descended on Paris this week for the 2016 indoor World Climbing and Paraclimbing Championships. Competitors from Canada, Germany, Japan and France among other countries are competing in the four-day event at the Accor Hotels Arena.
In the photo above, Israel's Netta Fredman takes part in the first day of competition.
Fredman has been competing in the sport for years, as you can see from the video below from a 2012 competition in her home country of Israel:

It was so much fun to compete again and moreover to find out that I'm in a good shape although everything I'd went throw...! I'm Happy with my climbing in the semi final last night which gave me the satisfying 19th place! In addition I'm so thankful for all the support I got from my family and friends before and after the competition!
