While the Grammy's were taking place Monday in Los Angeles, the recording industry in France was presumably still recovering from its own music awards show, the Victoires de la Musique, which was held in Paris Friday night.

One of the show's big winners was Yael Naim, an Israeli-French singer who was named the French singer of the year for her album "Older." It marked the second time she's won the award, having also taken the prize in 2011.

Naim, seen in the above photo raising her trophy, plans to celebrate by heading out on tour. She'll perform shows in Chicago on Feb. 22 and New York City on Feb. 23-24, before returning to Europe for an extended tour with show dates planned for France, the United Kingdom and Israel.

Naim rose to fame in 2008 when her song "New Soul" was used in one of the first commercials for the MacBook Air.
