"Now the world is ready for you, and the wonders you can do."

The theme song from the original "Wonder Woman" TV series, though it was conceived more than 40 years ago, holds renewed meaning today as Gal Gadot, an Israeli-born actress and model, prepares to step into the role in the superheroine's first-ever solo film.

The actress, whose credits range from the "Fast and Furious" franchise to the spy comedy "Keeping Up With the Joneses" co-starring Jon Hamm, posted the above image to her Facebook page on Wednesday. In only a few hours the photo has amassed more than 220,000 likes and 1,300 comments, with fans calling her "amazingly beautiful" in the role and noting Gadot's "strength and grace."

It's clear Gadot's fans are brimming with anticipation over the solo film, to be released in June. But in the meantime, you can catch Gadot in her brief but crucial role in the 2016 film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which is out on DVD.
