Museum promotes its masterpieces at the beach
Enjoy the sun, sand, sea and a Kandinsky while working on your tan.
Your eyes are not fooling you: that is a Picasso on a Mediterranean beach. Well, it's actually a reproduction, placed there by the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality along with other reproductions of works by masters Matisse, Renoir, Kandinsky and Van Gogh.
The outdoor gallery in Israel is a chance for visitors to the city's famous beaches to familiarize themselves with some of the works hanging on the walls of the museum and perhaps get indoors and out of the sun to see the real thing.
