Travelers pick the world's best cities to visit

Can you guess what No. 1 is?

The people have spoken, and the best cities in the world have been named. At the top of the list? Florence.

The award is the most coveted prize of Condé Nast Traveler's annual Readers Choice Awards, which uses readers' input to determine the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, airlines and cruise lines on the planet.

While Florence is one of the most visited and beautiful cities in the world, it also represented a larger trend on the Best Cities list toward classical destinations like Rome, Budapest, Paris and Prague. Though competition was stiff, mainstay Jerusalem, which attracts three and half million tourists each year, ranked high as well.
