Meeting Minnie Mouse on the runway is a dream come true
Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills children's wishes on opening night of Tel Aviv Fashion Week.
Of all the places in the world you'd expect to see Minnie Mouse, one of the last might be the catwalk, but that's exactly what happened for 10 children suffering from life-threatening diseases at Tel Aviv Fashion Week.
The children were guests at Fashion Week’s Minnie Mouse-themed Opening Night on March 15, a show that followed in the footsteps of other fashion shows around the world featuring the cutest leading lady of all.
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Esti Ginzburg and actress/executive producer Noa Tishby ("In Treatment") took their turns having fun with the audience as they modeled their outfits on the catwalk. They were joined by other Israeli celebrities, models and fashion icons all wearing different designers' creations inspired by Minnie Mouse.
The enchanting fashion display was organized to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Israel. The international organization has branches in 48 countries, and Israel's foundation has already granted more than 1,700 wishes for children from ages 3 to 18 who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.
The historic fashion show ended with these 10 special guests getting their photos taken with Minnie. It was the adults, however, who were unable to hide their smiles at the sight of Disney's classic character frolicking down the runway. Wish granted.
Talia Rebecca Yonassi, a Communications student at the IDC in Israel, loves to travel all over the world, but at the end of the day, knows there's no place like home!
