Kim Kardashian and Bar Refaeli team up for eyewear company
The reality star will be the face of Carolina Lemke, a sunglasses brand part-owned by the Israeli model.
In case you're not keeping up, Kim Kardashian West just inked a deal to be the face of Israeli sunglasses brand Carolina Lemke Berlin, joining the company's current business partner, model Bar Refaeli.
The reality megastar will visit Israel in March as part of the collaboration. It'll be West's second visit to Israel; she and her family visited Jerusalem in 2015.
She'll also be designing her own sunglasses line in a limited-edition series sold by Carolina Lemke.
The company said its deal with West is part of an increased focus on Western expansion. Currently, the brand markets mostly to Israel and Europe.
This is not West's first foray into Israeli fashion. In 2017, she also invested in New York-based fashion app ScreenShop, which was founded in Israel.
“It’s not a secret that I love social media and the notion of being able to shop from my feed is something I could only dream about," West said at the time.
Having been a queen of the social media stratosphere for years now, West is involved with several apps, including her own line of Kim-branded emojis called – what else? – kimojis. There's even a weather app that shows you the temperature of any city in the form of one of Kim's outfits.
