Scenic Mediterranean beaches are prime surfing destinations.
Israel's beaches are well-known for incredible sunsets and exhilarating watersports. From Ashkelon in the south, to the city beaches of Tel Aviv and north to Haifa, surfers flock to the ocean to catch a wave, any time of day – and any time of year, whether it's to cool off during the sunny summer afternoons or take advantage of the impressive swells that come with winter weather.
With water temperatures ranging from about 60 degrees in the winter to a balmy 80 degrees in the summer, Israel's surf is mild but exciting – and what better way than surfing to enjoy the country's 170 miles of coastline?
