5 cute puppies of YouTube

In honor of National Puppy Day, here are some videos to get you smiling.

It's National Puppy Day! Dog lovers will do lot of things for their pets – turning them into art and running races with them – but often it's the simple handheld video that draws the most attention. While any time is a good excuse to watch pet videos online, National Puppy Day is special. To celebrate, we've scoured YouTube for some of the most adorable puppy videos we could find from around the world. So grab a cup of Joe, sit back, relax and bask in the utter cuteness.

This rescued puppy, filmed by a volunteer at a Dallas shelter, looks like he's really enjoying his bath time. As the British narrator points out: "He's so laid-back, he almost falls asleep."

This 5-week-old puppy in Israel enjoys romping around the living room and squeezing between pillows (fast-forward to the 3:00 minute mark). It's a Dogue de Bordeaux, a breed that was officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2008.

This video, of a Siberian Husky puppy named Dakota trying to conquer a staircase, went viral last year when it was uploaded by his owner Paul Mather. It has garnered more than a million views. Just watch it, and you'll see why.

A Boxer puppy named Harvey is trying desperately to understand the inner workings of telephones. When he hears his owner's voice through a cell phone, he seems a bit confused. The video was shot back in 2011. We can only assume Harvey's already a master on the phone and maybe even at watching TV as well.

This cute puppy from China looks like he has a new best friend – whether he wants one or not. A well-intentioned duck waddles after him wherever he goes. By the end, the pup seems to be taking to the duck, bringing interspecies friendships to a whole new level.
