Adulting is hard. One thing that makes it a lot easier is turning childhood favorites into a delicious summer cocktail. This is a simple slushie recipe that is served hard with vodka. Of course, it is just Kool-Aid flavor packets so you can easily mix and match with your favorite flavors.

Ingredients

    Lemonade slushie:

  • 1 Kool Aid lemonade packet
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup club soda, divided
  • 3 cups ice
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • Watermelon slushie:

  • 1 Kool Aid watermelon packet
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup club soda, divided
  • 3 cups ice
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • Lime wheels, for garnish

Directions

Add the ice, lemonade Kool-Aid, sugar, vodka, and half of the club soda to a blender and blend until smooth. Add remaining club soda and just blend to mix. The reason you don't blend all of the club soda at once is it will reduce the bubbles.

The bubbles are half the fun! The vodka is the other half.

Repeat above steps for the watermelon flavor. You want to do the watermelon part second; that way you don't have to rinse the blender, if you want that two-tone effect. If you just want your boozy slushie immediately, you can do it all at once. Just remember to divide the club soda.

Fill your glasses up with half lemonade slushie and half watermelon. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.
