As I was strolling through the farmers market the other day, I came across fresh peas. I love fresh peas!

I always forget how much I love them as the frozen ones can be a bit of a turn-off. I really wanted a recipe to celebrate them. This pasta does the trick!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bowtie pasta
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup minced parsley
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces fresh peas
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook the pasta per the instructions on the box, but I recommend watching this video on making the perfect pasta first.

Warm the butter over a medium low heat and once melted, add in the minced garlic. Sautee for about a minute.

Add in the fresh peas and salt and cook until tender; about 2 minutes over medium heat.

When ready, fold in the fresh parsley and the cooked pasta.

Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
