Strawberry mango smoothie bowl
Refresh your morning with this easy 2-step fruit smoothie.
Sometimes, the best ingredients are the ones we've forgotten about until the last minute. Super-ripe bananas are my favorite example. We’ve started adding bags of frozen fruit to our usual shopping list, and letting bunches of bananas go brown. We then break them into chunks, stick them in small Ziploc bags in the freezer, and voila – we’ve got smoothie ingredients ready to go any time we want ‘em.
If you’re headed out to the grocery store, pick up some chia and hemp seeds, too. Some added protein makes this smoothie a full meal in one delicious bowl of creamy, sweet, fruity goodness.
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
Place all ingredients in high powered blender or food processor.
Pour into individual bowls. Garnish with chopped strawberries and banana.
