Strawberry cantaloupe smoothie
This refreshing fruity beverage is a perfect start to your summer picnic or dinner party.
Who says smoothies are just for breakfast? This bowl of goodness represents the best of summer’s bounty and makes a great start to any meal.
- 1/2 ripe cantaloupe, cut into chunks
- 1 pound strawberries
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup almond milk or soymilk (no additives)
- Squirt of honey, if desired
- 1 cup large blueberries
Place cantaloupe chunks into Vitamix or blender.
Wash and hull strawberries. Set aside the 4 largest berries, and add the rest to the blender. Add 1 of the bananas, and the soymilk. Process until smooth. Taste, and add a squirt of honey to sweeten, if desired.
Divide mixture into 4 small bowls. Slice almost all the way through each of the strawberries, creating a fan. Place at the side of each bowl. Add a few blueberries and slices of banana to each bowl. Serve immediately.
