Strawberry avocado fruit salsa
Avo lovers, get your salsa on.
The funny thing about calling a salsa a fruit salsa is that a tomato is a fruit. Yet, when we swap out the tomato for something like a peach or a strawberry, now it is a fruit salsa. Tomato, tomahto. Either way, this is a fun and funky salsa idea you must try.
Oh, and here is an interesting side note: the strawberry is not actually a berry. But the avocado is.
Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries, diced
- 2 large avocados, diced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1 jalapeno, minced
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Directions
Combine all ingredients but the avocado. I do this to avoid mashing up the avo. Remember, we are making a salsa, not guac.
Add in avocado and mix gently, just to combine.
