Mocha protein shake

Start your week off with a delicious drink that gives you energy and nutrition.

We all know there are days we simply don’t have the time to sit down and enjoy a leisurely breakfast – a hot cup of coffee, an omelette, or a bowl of oatmeal and fruit. With this quick and easy mocha protein smoothie recipe, you’re taking your fruit, protein, and energy on the go.

Be sure to wave as you sail past all the sluggish drivers waiting in line at your local coffee shop’s drive thru (no gloating though, that’s pushing it).

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold-brew coffee
  • 2 frozen banans, cut into chunks
  • 6-8 pitted dates
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup pasteurized egg whites*
  • 1/2 cup coconut, almond or soy milk
  • Agave syrup, as desired for sweetness

Directions

Place all ingredients in a high powered blender. Process until smooth. Serve immediately, or chill smoothies in the refrigerator for a few hours.
