Make your own Mediterranean taco seasoning
A super-easy Mediterranean-inspired spice mix perfect for any type of tacos.
The question begs to be asked – why bother, when the local supermarket sells about a hundred different spice mixtures, including several varieties of taco seasoning? The answer is control – control over ingredients, health, flavor and even cost. Too much salt is dangerous (and so many packaged foods are sky-high in sodium), leading to high blood pressure and other health concerns. Too much heat – or too little – in your seasoning can also cause distress, although certainly not as serious as medical issues.
And for the final push – making your own homemade Mediterranean taco seasoning gives you awesome bragging rights and makes you a way cooler cook. You can triple the recipe and bag up some of this mix for your taco-lovin’ friends. Of course the expectation would be to receive an invite to dinner in return, but hey, it’s only fair.
