


Fig and yogurt salad
Because figs are everywhere, and they should be in your salad, too.
Fresh figs are sorta everywhere right now and this salad is the perfect way to celebrate them. It’s simple but so delicious. It’s a great picnic side dish or even great for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 16 figs
- 6 ounces plain yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon crushed almonds
Directions
Add the yogurt, vanilla extract and poppy seeds to a mixing bowl and mix the ingredients together.
Trim the tops of the figs and slice them in half.
Place the figs in a serving dish and drizzle the yogurt sauce over the top. You can also just toss the figs with it.
Top with the crushed almonds.
Chill and serve.
