Chai tea latte
The perfect spicy, sweet and heartwarming drink for a cool autumn morning.
Chai tea brings to mind some pretty funky flavors and spices, but fear not – this chai tea latte recipe goes light on the strong spices, yet includes just enough to make this hot drink unique and delicious.
As with most lattes, you can add ice at the end for a cool drink, but be sure to cook the tea, sweetener and spices thoroughly first.

- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups skim milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar or honey
- 1/2 cup creamer (soy creamer, whole milk or half and half)
Directions

Cover and allow to steep 10 minutes. (You can pour this tea mixture into a pitcher and reuse the pot.)
Combine milk, sugar or syrup and creamer in small pot.
Cook over medium heat until dissolved.
Pour milk mixture into mugs, add tea mixture and stir.
Serve with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg.
