Could this be your favorite new photo editing app?
Enlight combines popular photo editing and social media tools into one.
Enlight, a new image-editing app from the Israeli company Lightricks, is garnering raves from the tech world, professionals and novices. The app helps enhance portraits and selfies by improving skin tone and texture, fixing messy hair, applying makeup and even thinning out chubby faces.
Enlight puts fine image control at your fingertips with intuitive photo-editing tools and popular filters grouped under main sections like Canvas, Image, Filters and Text. The range of filters and painting effects available goes far beyond other apps on the market. The novice user can access the filters in one click, but more seasoned users appreciate how customizable they are.
“Nothing like Enlight exists on the market,” Zeev Farbman, CEO and co-founder of Lightricks told DigitalArts. “In addition to upgraded versions of existing tools, Enlight offers new features that, until now, were only seen on desktop editing software, if at all."
Enlight builds on LTEengine, an advanced visual processing technology for mobile platforms Lightricks first implemented in Facetune. Facetune was the sixth best-selling paid app in the iTunes store in 2014.
“Some tools … are very complex and aimed at professionals. Others do a great job of creating creative communities and enabling sharing with beautiful filters,” Lightricks second co-founder Itai Tsiddon told TNW.
The app can be used in both vertical or landscape mode (a feature not available in many other apps), and you have full access to the images in your camera roll – no import required. Use quick buttons to navigate back a step or two or for previewing the original pre-edited image.
Released on March 13, the app has earned hundreds of five-star reviews in the iTunes store. “I have three ‘pages’ of photo editing apps that will now be collecting dust thanks to Enlight,” writes one customer. “For the first time I have come across a photo editing application I really enjoy using,” writes another.
Even for a new user, editing, mixing and exporting a completely new image can be done in just a few minutes. And don’t be put off by the array of tools and features – the Enlight interface also features easy-to-follow instructions on how to use each one. When you’re done, you can save a session to finish later, export a finished image to your camera roll, send it via message or email, or upload directly to your social media channel of choice.
