Kendall and Kylie's Topshop line brings LA style to a global market
The 15-piece summery collection is laid-back and California cool.
Gals from Manhattan Beach to Tel Aviv will be Instagramming selfies this summer in easy black maxi dresses, distressed denim shorts, sweet eyelet tops and wild florals designed by Kim Kardashian's half-sisters.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner's new collection, which debuted this month, brings their laid-back California style to Topshop boutiques across America and to their stores worldwide, including in Spain, France and Israel. While this isn't the sister duo's first foray into fashion – they've previously created collections for PacSun and Madden Girl – their latest collaboration with Topshop expands their fashion empire globally with off-the-red-carpet styles.
Kendall's immersion in high-fashion modeling for brands like Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Balmain has indeed influenced the line's aesthetic. "Traveling to Paris and working with some of the most gifted designers – it rubs off on you," Kendall told Glamour.com in an interview.
The Kendall + Kylie Collection for Topshop isn't for Grandma; the line targets a younger audience willing to bare a bit more. The 15-piece collection is perfect for laid-back days and summer festival frolicking whether you're a teen on summer break or a young professional out and about after work.
"The fun patterns and pieces are going to be perfect for summer weekends at the beach," Patty Whitney, a New York City-based account executive with Verizon, told From The Grapevine.
The collection boasts summery pieces such as crop tops, short shorts, a romper and a sweatshirt with the slogan, "When in doubt, vacation." Perhaps that's an easier decision when you're a reality TV star.
Dishing on what and who inspired their collection, Kendall told Topshop, "We were thinking about the LA girl, who she is, what she loves to do and what her dream capsule wardrobe would be." She added, "There are lots of lighter shades and florals that give that sunshine feel."
The collection retails from $52 to $150, and is available in Topshop stores and online.
