There’s something about international fashion blogger Roza Sinaysky that keeps fans captivated. Her lifestyle, and the way in which she captures it, certainly has something to do with it. Right when we got used to seeing her impeccable style at lust-worthy locales sprinkled around Israel, which she calls home, she seemed to be magically transported to Los Angeles where she’s quickly established herself as a fixture hobnobbing with its most fashionable set.

Her locations change quite often, actually, which is part of the fun of following her on Instagram, but her blog, Moody Roza, is a home for her to document her fashionable adventures the world over. It’s a place to share her favorite hidden gems in the Israeli coastal city of Tel Aviv and highlight her creative collaborations with top international luxury brands.

We caught up with the fashion tastemaker to learn about what inspired her to pursue fashion, where she’s currently exploring, what she loves about her city of Tel Aviv, and some of her most exciting projects of late.

From The Grapevine: What sparked your interest in fashion as a young girl?

Roza Sinaysky: I was raised in the USSR, pretty much a dark era in the Soviet Union. We didn't have much fashion there as all products from the West were banned. Still, my parents were always very stylish and my dad used to smuggle Levi's jeans and Polo shirts for me. I think this is where I started to develop a passion for clothes and fashion. I was the coolest kid in town!

FTG: How did you first get into fashion journalism and blogging?

RS: I've been writing since I was 7. I remember writing a whole book about being an immigrant, and later in life, I started stringing words together for an Israeli fashion magazine and covering fashion weeks. A few years later I wrote a little report for ELLE Russia and things moved pretty fast from there, and I became a permanent features contributor. Soon enough I started writing for Mira Duma's platform Buro 24/7. Eventually I realized I had so many amazing materials after so many years and that I just had to put it all in one blog!

FTG: You call Tel Aviv home, but we've noticed you’ve been spending quite a bit of time lately in Los Angeles. What is it about L.A.?

RS: L.A. is a magical place. Life here is so easy and carefree, no one is stressing about anything. As a workaholic it is a very new and unknown way of living. Life here is very lazy compared to Tel Aviv or to Europe. I can't complain though, I’m enjoying the slow pace of this town. You get used to this easy lifestyle very quick.

FTG: You’re feeling the Cali vibes, so we're assuming you fully embraced Coachella?

RS: Yes! It was a fantastic social and fashionable experience. I must say the parties outside the festival were a lot more interesting to me. I ended up meeting incredible people and at one point even had a heart to heart chat with my childhood icon, Axl Rose.

FTG: Why did you create your "My TLV" series?

RS: I created “My TLV” because it was important to me to show how amazing my town is. I wanted to show the world that Tel Aviv is one of the coolest places in the world right now. I feel like an ambassador of my city.

FTG: You explore the world for fashion shows, events and brand collaborations. What do you love most about your job? Why is seeing the world so important to you?

RS: A well-traveled person is a well-educated person. I get to meet and work with so many wonderful people, my favorite part of the job is getting better at it, learning more and getting better, discovering new designers and brands and creative ideas. I love interviewing people I admire, having a chat with someone I respect is the best part of my job.

FTG: We couldn't agree more! Who are some of your favorite designers right now?

RS: I love Kym Ellery and Tony Metachevski. I discovered them at Sydney Fashion Week and I can't get enough of their designs. I also love Jonathan Simkhai, a fellow Israeli who is taking the world by storm!

FTG: What are you most excited about working on right now? And anything coming up we should look out for?

RS: Oh my, so many exciting collaborations! I am most excited about my permanent collaboration with Helga Design, the coolest most fashion-forward store in Tel Aviv. I've been working with the store for over four years and nothing compares to having an ongoing successful partnership. I am also the brand ambassador for the W Hotel, which will open later this year in Tel Aviv: here is a little preview to what we're working on. I'm also releasing a video I did with a Mini Cooper! I drove around Israel exploring exotic locations in a Mini, so watch out for that one!
