More music festivals to keep you busy this summer
Enjoy these must-see concerts around the world from July to September.
Earlier this month, we kicked off the summer concert season with a list of four music festivals to check out – but we were just getting started. Here are six more to add to your list – performers and festivals you should see from July to September.
High Sierra / July 2-5 / Quincy, California
This four-day California concert series falls over July 4th weekend. It hosts an eclectic mix of national and international bands. This year, the lineup features artists like The String Cheese Incident – an American band with an eclectic mix of bluegrass, rock, funk and reggae sounds – the Australian jam band John Butler Trio, and the American soul band Pimps of Joytime.
FVDED in the Park / July 3-4 / Surrey, Canada
With the tagline “Spark the Vibe,” FVDED in the Park is the perfect festival for fans of hip-hop and dance. Located in beautiful Holland Park in British Columbia, this festival is worth adding to your list. Artists like Canadian producer and performer deadmau5, American DJ duo Flosstradamus, and Israeli DJ Borgore will all perform in this year’s lineup.
Sziget Festival / August 10-17 / Budapest, Hungary
Sziget is an epic festival. It's one of the largest music festivals in all of Europe, spanning seven days on an island in Budapest. This year’s festival will feature artists like Israeli trance band Infected Mushroom, British singer-songwriters Ellie Goulding and Robbie Williams, and American gypsy punk bank Gogol Bordello.
Backwoods Camping & Music Festival / September 4-6 / Stroud, Oklahoma
If you don’t already have plans for Labor Day Weekend, you should add the Backwoods Music Festival to your calendar. This three-day music and arts festival features a wide variety of experiences. The 2015 lineup is strong, with artists like Brazilian DJ Lucce, American electronic music producer Porter Robinson and English dubstep producer Doctor P.
Bestival / September 10-13 / Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
Bestival has been described as a “wondrous world of discovery and adventure.” It is a four-day festival on the British Isle of Wight. This year’s lineup boasts artists like British electronic music duo The Chemical Brothers, legendary British rockers Duran Duran and Israeli techno artist Guy Gerber.
Oasis Festival / September 11-13 / Marrakech, Morocco
End your amazing summer of music with the Oasis Festival. Morocco is stepping up its electronic music scene with this international music festival, featuring artists like French electronic DJ Agoria and Swedish house music DJ Axel Boman.
