Wonder Woman surprises children's hospital patients in Virginia

Gal Gadot, in the D.C. area filming the sequel to her blockbuster 2017 film, donned her iconic costume while making sick kids cheer.

From the grim, gritty battlefields of early-20th-century Europe ... to a children's hospital in 21st-century Virginia? Clearly, the travel fatigue hasn't hit Wonder Woman yet.

The beloved superhero, aka Gal Gadot dressed in her iconic costume, paid an impromptu visit to young patients at Inova Children's Hospital in Annandale, Virginia, over the weekend.

The 33-year-old Israeli actress who's become mega-famous for her role as the Amazonian Warrior Princess was in the Washington, D.C., area filming scenes for the sequel, titled "Wonder Woman 1984," when she strolled in to Inova, to the delight of patients and staff.

Gadot, a married mother of two girls, has captivated millions of fans with her portrayal of Wonder Woman in both the 2017 solo film and the previously released "Justice League" film. Now, the highly anticipated sequel is scheduled for release in November 2019. Patty Jenkins, who directed the solo film, is directing the sequel as well.
