HBO's smash-hit series "Game of Thrones"(based on the best-selling series of novels by George R.R. Martin) is not only a ratings blockbuster, but the critically acclaimed series also features one of the most diverse and talented casts currently on television.
English actor and comedian Paul Kaye appeared in the show's third season as the memorable Red Priest named Thoros of Myr. While he did not appear in the series' fourth season, fans are hopeful that Thoros will be back in the future. Kaye was born in London, and at 16 he enrolled in the Harrow School of Art. The talented actor took a year off from college in 1984 and decided to go on a kibbutz in Israel. While overseas, Kaye met his future wife Orly and the two married in 1989.
In addition to his role on "Game of Thrones," Kaye has also appeared in numerous shows like "Mongrels," Netflix's "Lilyhammer" and "Ripper Street." He is set to appear in the seven-part British television adaptation of Susanna Clarke's best-selling novel "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell." It will air on BBC One in the U.K., followed by a later U.S. broadcast on BBC America.
