See rare photos of Gal Gadot growing up in Israel
The 'Today' show unearthed unseen photos of the 32-year-old actress.
While out promoting "Justice League," Israeli actress Gal Gadot stopped by Atlantic Grill in Manhattan to chat with "Sunday Today" show host Willie Geist. During the eight-minute interview, the 32-year-old Gadot spoke about embracing her responsibility as a role model for young girls, especially her two daughters. "Kids don’t know or care about box office records or blockbuster movies," explained Gadot. "They are like, ‘Yep, you’re Wonder Woman ... but what’s for dinner?' ... There’s nothing like kids to keep you grounded."
Speaking of kids, during the segment, the "Today" show unearthed some rarely seen photos of Gadot's early childhood. Gal, whose name is Hebrew for "wave," grew up in an Israeli town on the banks of the Yarkon River.
The photos show a precocious Gadot – who grew up to become a typical teen who played sports, babysat and worked at Burger King.
Gadot fans have rarely seen such young photos of the actress. Most archival pictures show an adult Gadot in the "Fast and the Furious" movie franchise or at her 2004 appearance at the Miss Universe pageant. (Indeed, the whole cast of "Wonder Woman" looked a lot different 13 years ago.)
