Gal Gadot is no ordinary 'Wonder Woman'
Hollywood's new Warrior Princess hails from Israel.
If one woman’s career path is proof that change can be great, it's that of Israeli actress Gal Gadot.
Gal first captured the attention of the world when she joined the Fast and Furious franchise in 2009, and she recently landed one of Hollywood's most epic roles — Wonder Woman, in the sure-to-be blockbuster movie Batman vs. Superman, starring Ben Affleck.
But before her days as a tough Hollywood fighter, the 28-year-old reinvented herself more than once.

In 2004, she became a beauty queen when she won the Miss Israel pageant. She then did a 180-degree turn when she joined the Israeli army a year later. Upon finishing her two-year army stint, Gal began her college degree in the hopes of becoming a lawyer.

But when Fast and Furious came knocking, she decided to leave all that behind and jump head first into an acting career.

Now Gal, whose favorite pastime is riding motorcycles and who owns a black 2006 Ducati Monster-S2R, says she is more than ready to take on the challenge of playing warrior princess Wonder Woman. "I'm starting a very serious training regimen—Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, jiu-jitsu, Brazilian... a thousand and one things!"

Asked what advice she would give to those wishing to follow in her footsteps, she says: "My only advice would be to be persistent and never give up."
