Suburban dad or super spy? New trailer reveals the real Jon Hamm
'Keeping up with the Joneses,' co-starring Gal Gadot and Zach Galifianakis, hits theaters this fall.
What do you get when you cross Don Draper, Wonder Woman and a nosy suburban couple?
A whole lot of laughs, as evidenced by the just-released trailer for "Keeping Up with the Joneses," a film that finally lets "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm put his comedy hat on – albeit a very stylish, 007-esque comedy hat.
Hamm stars opposite "Wonder Woman" herself, Israeli actress Gal Gadot, in an action-packed spy comedy that also stars Australian actress Isla Fisher (best known for her role in "Wedding Crashers") and a svelte-looking Zach Galifianakis. The latter two play Karen and Jeff, a timid suburban couple whose curiosity is piqued when an ultra-glam, impossibly beautiful couple move into the 'hood. After doing a bit of amateur spying themselves, Jeff and Karen discover that their neighbors are actually covert operators, and, as Fisher told The Today Show in a behind-the-scenes interview, "hijinks ensue."

Fans of Hamm know that, despite his long-running dramatic role on "Mad Men," the actor's comedic chops have gotten a workout lately. His guest role on "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" as a hopelessly charismatic cult leader on trial, as well as his hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live," both earned him raucous raves. With "Joneses," Hamm gets to flesh out yet another genre that's a bit of a comedy-action-drama hybrid. And for her part, Gadot gets to add "suburban secret agent" to her already impressive resume.
The film, directed by Greg Mattola and released by Twentieth Century Fox, hits theaters Oct. 21.
