The Zack Snyder-directed film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Israeli film star Gal Gadot, and has been at the center of much speculation for a good part of the last year.
The new trailer certainly answered many of the questions at the heart of the conversation. It also gave people across Twitter the opportunity to weigh in with more personal feelings about the film.
Yeah, I nerd-cried a bit. Sorry, haters. This looks fun. I'm just mad you made me type "haters." #BatmanvSuperman pic.twitter.com/f7ovS6vfBi

Not everybody was so teary-eyed, though. Take this guy for example:

Of course, there were those who chose not to emote. Instead they took the opportunity to comment on new revelations about the film, like the fact that Doomsday is in it.
Anyone else look at #Doomsday from #BatmanvSuperman and think "Man the Ninja Turtles aren't aging well?!" pic.twitter.com/zUwsglqzsE

Writer and director Tom Gran apparently isn't concerned with anything but the two headliners:
I wish #BatmanvSuperman was just 2 & 1/2 hours of Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne making thinly veiled jabs at each other's alter-egos at a party

But this other Tweeter got pretty excited when Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman made an appearance late in the trailer:

But not as excited as this Wonder Woman fan account:

The film has an expected release date of March 25, 2016.
