5 videos to make you laugh on Red Nose Day
Comedy fundraiser makes debut in the U.S.
Red Nose Day, a comedy fundraising event that's been an annual tradition in the U.K. since 1988, has finally made its away across the pond to the United States. Starting tonight, NBC will host a live, three-hour telethon from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City featuring musical and comedy performances, taped segments from "Funny or Die," short films and plenty of guest celebrity appearances. The goal is to raise millions for charitable organizations such as Oxfam, Save the Children and many more.
Want to get involved yourself? In partnership with NBC, the Gates Foundation has generously offered to donate $25 for every person who posts a photo to Instagram wearing a red nose and using the hashtag #RedNose25.
As a warm-up to the hilarity sure to unfold over the airwaves tonight, here are five videos of babies laughing uncontrollably. Take off your adult hat, throw on a red nose, and join in on the fun.
1. Paper-ripping baby is tickled by sound
The sound of paper ripping isn't something many of us generally find hilarious. This St. Louis baby, however, would argue otherwise. Even better? The paper he's ripping happens to be a job rejection letter his father received.
2. Baby can't help but giggle at fork
The key to making this Israeli kid laugh? One fork, a noodle, and the silliest noise you can come up with. Instant hilarity.
3. Dog eats popcorn, baby loses it
While other babies crack up over forks or paper, this one can't help but lose it over the family dog chowing down on popcorn. We're pretty sure the dog is thrilled with this new position of entertainment as well.
4. Baby can't stop laughing at dandelion
There's a brilliant moment in this video when you can watch this British kid's expression turn from one of wonder to flat-out amusement. Dandelions have never been more entertaining.
5. Baby surround sound
What happens when four quadruplet babies from South Carolina all start laughing at once? You're about to find out.
